It is never alright for someone to be abused, and if at any point you feel it is getting out of hand, say something to someone. I think you have a good head on your shoulders and are open and accepting the world the way it is, keep that mind set and don’t let anyone make you believe different.

“my parents are abusive, but i live in a muslim household, and its normal and okay. all the people i know that are muslim and somali do this. its normal and expected. they’re hateful and narrowminded. they’re against gay marriage, gays in general, atheism, and christans. it’s awful and i hate it so much. i can’t wait to grow up and get the fuck out of this household and cut off contact with all of them. i can’t stand it.”
